LAST YEARS RECORD: 98-64 (Last years prediction 102-60)

IN: Harry Saberhagen , Deion Cedeno , Matt Abbey , Barney Livingstone , Napoleon Ledee

OUT: Eric Ryan , Max Valdes , Justin Gabriel , Freddy Rodgers , Placido Cruz

SUMMARY: The Moonbats are always a force in Wrigleyville. And last year was no different , winning their 5th strait Division crown. Sordie first let Ryan , Valdes , Gabriel and Rodgers enter free agency. Then traded away Cruz to Cincy. He brought in free agents Saberhagen and Cedeno and Promoted Livingstone and Abbey. Ledee was added in the afore mentioned trade with Cincy.

PREDICTION: Nothing has changed here the Moonbats are still a very good team. But the turkeys may give them a run! 100-62

LAST YEARS RECORD:89-73 (Last years prediction 93-69 wild card)

IN: Frank Dwyer , Bill McCracken , Jesus Mendoza , Dennis Burke , Nicholas Meluskey , Jack Twitchell

OUT: Albert Coleridge , Calvin Rivera , Dewey Wall , Mario Hunter , Tyler Carey , King Evans , Alex Tarasco , R.J. Torres , Welington Vizquel

SUMMARY: Like my Magic 8 ball predicted the Turkeys made the playoffs. This made new Pappa Jared very happy. Between the late night feedings he let Coleridge , Rivera , Wall and Hunter go to free agency. Then he released Carey , Evans and Tarasco and traded Torres to New Orleans. Finally he waived Vizquel and he was picked up on the Wire. Then he went a shopping in the Market and signed Dwyer , McCraken , Mendoza , Burke and Meluskey. Finally he brought in Twitchell in a trade with N.O.

JAREDS PREVIEW: If revenge is a dish best served cold, then playoff disappointment is the mixed drink with not enough alcohol (like a whisky sour with too much sour mix…blech).

Albuquerque backed into the playoffs in season eleven, entering the postseason on its worst skid of the year. The trend continued, as the Turkeys fell in four games. This season, a few new faces join the fray with the pennant in mind.
Here:
-Nicholas Meluskey and Jesus Mendoza. Backup parts. Meluskey could start somewhere else, but I was specifically looking for a good catcher to spell Ted Dixon.
-Jack Twitchell and Bill McCracken. They fill the spots in the rotation vacated by the departing Mario Hunter and Karl Spier. While not children, the new pairing saves some money and age without compromising quality.
-Dennis Burke ad Frank Dwyer: Two new arms in the bullpen allow the Turkeys to make a few changes. Gone are Albert Coleridge and Calvin Rivera from long relief duty. Al Gomez's 6.00+ ERA and 14 blown saves in 61 chances earned him a move from closer to long relief. Joseph Hyun got $4m out of arbitration and slides into the closer role.
The starting lineup looks very similar from last season. Staked by Dixon and should-have-been-the-MVP Johnny Stone, Russell Haynes, Adrian Webster, Rico Trevino and Josh Greene flank the core. Harry Pena anchors shortstop, while David Boyd and Eric Brooks look to build upon last year's league leading team batting average (.292) and on-base percentage (.358).

PREDICTION: I think Dixon will play with a Chip on his shoulder and take it out on opposing pitchers. But the Moonbats are in the way and that makes the Turkeys a Wild Card team. 95-67

LAST YEARS RECORD: 73-89 (Last years prediction 70-92)

IN: Bruce Hartman , Richard Buckley , Sammy Galvez

OUT: Ronnie Jones , Jarrod Mann

SUMMARY: This is my good friend from CRD .It's his first time playing HBD and itsamiracle is hanging in there. He let just a couple of players go in Jones and Mann. Then he promoted 3 nice players from the minors and is settling in nicely.

PREDICTION: this is Gene's first season and while I'm helping to guide him .We all know how difficult the first seasons are. I Know all of you will lend some advice to itsamiracle when he ask's. It's the Wrigleyville way afterall. Itsamiracle  will finish at 65-97

LAST YEARS RECORD: 60-102 (Last years prediction 85-77)

OUT: Keith Ferguson , Eduardo Sanchez , Yorvit Moreno , Paul Dong , Glen Cuyler , Christopher Locke , Gene Eaton , Harry Saberhagen , Socks Griffin , Frank Dwyer , A.J. Fischer

SUMMARY: Hmm...The Salmonbellies had a rough year last season. I remeber several key injuries early on and that made mdymond raise the white flag by the All-Star break. So it was out with the old and in with the new. He let Ferguson , Sanchez , Moreno , Dong , Cuyler , Locke , Eaton , Saberhagen and Griffen go to Free Agency. Then if that wasn't enough he released Dwyer and traded away Fischer. Now he had to replace all them old salmonbellies with new improved salmonbellies. So he signed Bellhorn , Abe , Tamura , Burnett and Stevenson. Then mdymond promoted Cortez and Blanco .He picked up Carver in the R-5 and traded for Trujillo . Finally he claimed Suzuki from the Waiver Wire.

Mdymond's Preview:  not sure what to say about my team - but I've done a lot of overhaul from last year. 4 new pitchers - of which were waiver claims. I'm calling up Blanco soon to be my catcher and my trade with Trujillo for my DH. Cortez takes over center...I made alot of improvements. Bullpen's alot better - signed some cheap good veteran relievers - bellhorn, burnett, stevenson. NOt sure if I'm going to make the playoffs but .500+ is my goal 88 wins would be a franchise records.edit note: 4 new starting pitchers of which 2 were waiver pick ups.
PREDICTION: Mdymond cleaned house and brought in a bunch of new faces. Will it bring a playoff team? It's hard to guess whether or not they will GEL . Magic 8 Ball says 81-81

Then he Promoted Jacquez and Brought in CF'er Simas in a trade with the Moonbats.

LAST YEARS RECORD: 105-57 (Last years prediction 96-66)

IN: Bryan James , Willie Oliva

OUT: Santos Mercado , Javier Paniagua , Bobby Stieb , Cesar Morales

SUMMARY: It was a battle down the stretch for the Division Crown. San Juan had to settle for a Wild Card berth and lost in the first round to the Spittoons. So in keeping this good team together rbedwell made just a couple of moves. He let Mercado and Paniagua go to Free Agency picking up a 1st and 3rd round Comp pick. Ralph then released Stieb and Morales .He then plugged the holes with Free agent James and promoted Oliva.

PREDICTION: the Proffessor Ralph has a great team and will definatly be in the playoffs again. Maybe even win this Division. Crabbers fans are happy with the success of this team, but want a World Series. I think they will go deep in the playoffs this year and perhaps win it all. Even without Mercado.101-61

He spent 18 million on free agents Carpenter , Christensen , Hunter , Gabriel. Then he brought up the Rookies Gao , Goldman , Hocking , Erickson , Clark. Boehnerm picked up Rodriguez in the R-5 draft and traded for Vanguri in a trade.

PREDICTION: This team is much better but young!! With the Fab 5 of Rookies now in the Bigs the future looks bright in Trenton. But they still play in one of the toughest divisions. 84-78

LAST YEARS RECORD: 85-77 (Last years prediction 95-67)

IN:  Tom Henley , Billy Savage , Albert Vazquez , Homer Miclat , Roger Richard

OUT: Aaron Ross , Lee Stroud , Benjamin Hunter , Bill Lowe , Bill Rivers , Don Dickson , Neil Delaney

SUMMARY: man this used to be one of the stoutest Divisions in Wrigleyville. But last year the Pandemonium were crazy happy to win it with 85 wins. Pbsilver let a bunch of players go to free agency and released Delaney. Portland resigned Rob Prinz then signed Savage and Henley in the market. Then in a cost cutting mesure Pbsilver picked up 3 R-5 players(Vazquez, Miclat and Richard).

Pbsilver's Preview: This offseason the Pandemonium allowed some high priced mediocrity to wander off, and picked up a little bullpen help and some hopefully semi decent rule 5's. The core of the line up that one the division the last two seasons is back and I'm hoping that pitching will take us to our third in a row.

PREDICTION: pbsilver lowered his payroll by 7 million and went the conservative route in replacing departed Free Agents. With the Improvement of the Dogs they may not win this division again. 89-73

LAST YEARS RECORD: 80-82 (Last years prediction 100-62)

IN: Mac Suzuki , Rich Rando , Cecil Graham , Bump Peters , Felix Ramirez , Walt Nation , Brady Sefcik , Juan Guerrero

OUT: Virgil Pulido , David Cervantes , Mel Tessmer , Alex Mateo , Stuffy Knorr , Dude Cosby , John Daniels , Brandon Thomson

SUMMARY: Not sure why my Magic 8-ball missed this one? But boy did i WHIF !!! I know that the Aztecs had a buttload of injuries and maybe they raised the white flag by roster expansions. My expectations may have been a Bit High. Ya Think! Anyways Kumbia let Pulido , Cervantes , Tessmer and Mateo fly to Free Agency. Then he Released good ole Stuffy and Dude(of HEE-HAW fame). He then Traded away Daniels, Thomson and there big contracts. The Aztecs started the rebuild by Claiming Suzuki off the wire, then they signed 3 low level F/A's (Rando , Graham and Peters) . Kumbia promoted Ramirez ,Finally. And finally he aquired Nation , Sefcik and Guerrero in trades.

PREDICTION: Kumbia lowered his overall Salaries by 25 million . Now he has about 10 million in wiggle room for the season. Look for him to buy some superstars if he is in contention by the All-Star game. If not he can use it for a tasty IFA. 81-81

LAST YEARS RECORD: 67-95 (Last years prediction 77-85)

IN:  Frank Wan , Rodrigo Merced , Ed Norman , Vic Chavez , John Daniels , Brandon Thomson

OUT: Juan Alvarado , Malachi Newson , Wayne Shea , Walt Nation , Brady Sefcik , Juan Guerrero

SUMMARY:The Prairie Dogs have come out of thier holes and are going for it. Aaron pulled off a trade with Chicago sending Nation , Sefcik and Guerrero for Daniels and Thomson. He let Alvarado , Newsome and Shea test the free agent market . Then he went a spending !!! Aaron spent 32 million on Merced , Norman , and Chavez.

Aaronwaynes Preview: Dog fans, after sitting through back to back 65 & 67 win seasons, got a bit restless during the off season as they began to bite the hands of ownership. Citing the Dog's Florida Marlin's like payroll, they demanded at least two players make over the league minimum. Ownership got the message, but apparently added a couple of extra zero's, dang fax machine, as they splurged big-time, during the FA phase.Vic Chavez was signed to a 3 year, $47M deal, despite management being unsure as to where to actually play the talented Chavez. Chavez will provide speed, some pop, and hopefully average & OBP to a team that lacked high OBP players.Pitchers Rodrigo Merced and Ed Norman were also signed, finally giving the Dogs more than two actual Major League level starters. Dogs pitching coach Brian Watson exciting proclaimed,"no more 4A starters, I may finally be able to land a better job next season!" Then he realized who he was speaking to & stated that he was just joking. FA wasn't the only place the Dogs made some noise. The Dogs, after realizing they didn't know where to play Chavez, decided that they had better come up with one. They also discovered that they really didn't have a SS, at least one that could play all the time w/out hitting .179,so they jumped on a couple of deals from the Aztecs, who, for better or worse, have become a favorite trading partner. Hopefully the Dogs aren't the KC A's to Kumbiaking's Yankees. Gone from the Dogs is talented, but erratic Walt Nation ,paving a place for Chavez to play without hurting the defense. Picked up were SP Brandon Thomson and prospect Dan Jones ( who's on the block). Thomson gives the Dogs another actual big league level SP.When told that the Dogs picked up another SP, Watson said that maybe he'd stick around after all. Phase two of the deal was the real humdinger: SS John Daniels was picked up for Brady Sefcik &good looking SP prospect Juan Guerrero , who will be pitching at in the Bigs. So, with all the changes, how do the Dogs feel about Season 12? Cautiously optimistic, that's how. Are they ready for the playoffs? No clue, but this team should be competitive and if some of the young kids develop, they could make some noise. They everyday lineup has solid power and speed potentials, and a few players who should get on base and set the table. They will not be a strong defensive team and that is a concern, so the bench consists mainly of defensive specialist that can come in late in the game. The Dogs should have some decent SP. While they do not have a true ace, they have 5 guys who are all more than capable of putting together a nice season. The bullpen is a concern and will be watched closely. AAA has some arms that could help the pen out if needed. Long, and feel free to edit, thanks!

PREDICTION: Its hard to follow a preview like that so I'll keep mine brief, The Prairie Dogs have kept thier salaries low and it looks like they are making thier move. With all the fine young prospects coming up they are picking up some key players to show the youngsters how its done. I think the P Dogs will improve and vie for the division. If not this year ,perhaps next ? 85-77

LAST YEARS RECORD: 52-110 (Last years prediction 81-81)

IN: Matt Dransfeldt , DaRond Brow , Malachi Newson , Freddie Mohr , Don Dickson , Santos Martinez , Rick Bradford , Yorvit Moreno , T.J. Herman , Bill Wynn , Todd Purcell , Matthew Sutton

OUT: Javier Lopez , Victor Carrasco , Bump Peters , Wallace Oliver , Jesus Mendoza , Ossie Cook , Ozzie George , Guillermo Mateo , D'Angelo Montanez

SUMMARY: The Silverhawks have hit the bottom but do get the #1 pick in the draft. With one of the highest payrolls in Wrigleyville, Shynent Pretty much cleaned house . He sent 9 players out the door and resigned Willy Daniels , Jose Coronado , Fred O'Shea , Birdie Whitehill and Don Robinson. Then he went to the Market with some cash in hand and picked up several average but solid M L players. Then the Silverhawks promoted Herman and picked up Wynn and Purcell in the R-5 Draft. Finally Shynent brought in backup Catcher Sutton in a trade.

PREDICTION: You could say I was overly optomistic on last years prediction. But I thought a high dollar team could win at least 70 games unless they did'nt want to. I don't think this team is an upgrade to last season. 70-92

A L SOUTH PREVIEW

LAST YEARS RECORD: 91-71 ( Last years prediction 90-72)

IN:  Keith Simas

OUT: Alex Quixote , Billy Savage , Denny Keough

SUMMARY: This is what I wrote in last seasons Preview. "Finally after many years of futility the Memphis Blues won there Division. Tchagnon announced that its time for the next step, to win a World Series." The Magic 8-Ball was working well that day. So now that TC has a world series title .I'll bet he wants to repeat. He kept the same bunch intact with a few minor moves .TC traded away Keough then released Savage and Quixote. he resigned Terry Lewis and brought in Simas via a trade with the Howlers.

PREDICTION: TheBlues shocked Wrigleyville with a World Series Title. And the exact same team returns this season. So i have to say that they are the favorites to win it again. But this season the A L South got stronger and they may get contested for the division crown. 95-67

SUMMARY: The Posse are a Solid club that always finishes around .500. Illicit's squad  was in the wild card race but faded down the stretch. He didn't make alot of moves but allowed Burnett , Groos and Contreras go to Free Agency. Then he released Garland. He then spent 12 million on free agents Locke and Manning and promoted Denny(Grand Slam) Donatello.

PREDICTION: The Posse are stronger this season. No longer are they a .500 team. I look for them to give the champs a run fer there money. If they fall short of the division the Posse will get a Wild Card 90-72

LAST YEARS RECORD: 81-81 (Last years prediction 83-79)

IN: Pete Sewell , Dale Gordon , Gene Eaton , Norm Perry

OUT: Phil Barber , Daniel Forbes , Bill McCracken , Doc O'Connor , Harry Vargas , Gabe Roberts

SUMMARY: This team used to own this division .The Justice missed the Post season for the first time EVER! Now that the run is over, atprasad wants bck in the second season. He started by letting Barber, Forbes , McCracken and O'Conner head to Free Agency. Atprasad released Vargas and Roberts. Then he spent 14 million on free agents Sewell, Gordon and Eaton. And finally he picked up Perry in the R-5 Draft.

PREDICTION: This team took a step forward and a step back . The Justice had a hard time staying healthy last year. If they can keep off the DL they will fight for a wild card. 85-77

SUMMARY: The Tabaky Farmers have fallen on hard times, finishing 4th again. The Good News is that they have improved the last 3 years. Nwsheehy will look to reach .500 this season and climb out of the basement. He let Arnold, Allensworth, Beck and Matthews go to Free Agency. Then he released Thurman, Olivares and Gold. Nwsheehy resigned Haywood Guerrero and spent 10 million on Torres , Cambridge and Farrell. He plugged dem holes with R-5 players Bennett and Baez.

PREDICTION: The Tabaky Farmers have improved but so has the division. I look for them to hit around .500. 81-81
