So he went to work allowing A few low level players go to the free agent market. Then he released several players that just did'nt fit in with the Blues plans. TC then traded a trio of players to make room For a Trio of young players being Promoted. He also signed a free agent pitcher who can eat some innings. And finally TC picked up a R-5 Set-up guy who could be good.

He then traded Colon to get back a R-5 player that got away. Right now he is dangling Barber on the wire for anyone who is willing to take on his salary. Atprasad then Signed a couple of stud pitchers from the Free agent pool. He promoted a setup guy that will finally get a shot .And finally brought in another Arm from a trade with New Orleans.

They missed the playoffs and finished below .500. So With not alot of cap space. Illicit let several players go that were long in the tooth and that gave him 12 million in Cap space. After Arb signings there wasn't much money left so Illicit promoted a couple of nice youngsters and hopes that his club will bounce back after last season.

In comes Stretch "my johnson" Daly ,Tabaka and Fernando "walk in the " Park.

Sordie did pick up some draft picks and decided to trade Wells and Fuentes for a nice pitching prospect in Del Lopez. Who should make his ML debut soon. He then signed free agent Ryan and promoted a trio of players to plug the holes left by the exodus. Finally Sordie grabbed an R-5 pitcher to round out his rotation.

Drewaely chose to add lower priced players and promote players from within the organization. Then picked up a couple good players in the R-5 draft. Now he has a 15 million cap cushion to add some players down the road ,or pick up a good IFA.

As most of you already know we lost a long time Owner in sonneboy2000. He was forced to sell the team after his portfolio took a big hit due to the Gulf Splill. Don't tie up all your assets in Oyster Futures is a lesson we all can learn. So in comes a new owner  Hoopcoach07. He reportadly finalized his ownership of this franchise last week by trading two used Failsafe Blowout preventers and a case of John Travolta's Staying Alive Condoms. So now that he has parted with his most prized possesions he moved his team from Anehiem to Witchita and named them the WITCHITA WIND.
I made my way to quaint Witchita by stagecoach and found myself in a dusty windy town on the Kansas Praire. I made my way to the temporary team office at the back of a house of hooch called Beaver Liqours. There sitting behind a old dusty desk littered with ornate statues of Nekked People, was Hoopscoach hisself. He motioned me to a bar stool next to the desk. And I can say with extreme confidence that I felt right at home.
We opened a Bottle of Blantons to wash the dust down our throats then I asked Coach . Tell us about yourself??  Coach poured another drink and replied. "Hey my friend, the name is Paul Chmura. I'm a 26 year old guy in linving in Chicopee, Mass. Got a good old American type family with Mom, Pop and a little brother. I religiously follow the Red Sox, keeping score of just about every game on tv, unless I'm actually at Fenway which happens about 25 times per season.I'm a huge sports fan, basketball would be my favorite if I had to choose, but hockey, baseball, football and golf are right there with it. I Love the Red Sox, Bruins, Knicks and Giants in pro sports...I know odd 2 Boston teams and 2 New York teams. My dad was a Giants fan when I was growing up so I went with the GMen. As for the rest it was left up to me. I used to love the rough and tough Knicks teams of the 90's with Ewing, Starks, Oakley and all those guys. I met Bobby Orr when I was little so I clung to the Bruins and well the Red Sox and Fenway are probably the greatest two things God has given us in the world so that explains that. As for college sports...I'm a Huge UMass fan in all NCAA sports espiecally basketball and football. But when I root for the "big-time" college teams I guess I'd have to say I'm more of a fan of the coaches than the teams which leads me to Duke, Kansas and Michigan State in hoop. Football wise I'll go with Miami, but mostly I just love watching college football. It's the one sport I guyess you could say I don't really have one team I follow and pull for unless you're talking about UMass fighting it out weekly for CAA title in Division 1-aa. Other than that I currently am a high school teacher and have been coaching high school basketball and baseball for 8 years and am currently looking to move into the college ranks"

We partyed at Beaver Liquers till sun up and the last I saw of Coach was when he and two Buxom Beautys Streaked accross the bar with nothing but thier Whistles on.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO GOMEZ

An Old English scribbler named Will Shakespeare once lamented the ongoing assault of "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune." But in the world of the outrageously fortunate Moonbat rightfielder Al Gomez, the slings and arrows have been quivered and he's shot with a steady stream of multi-colored rainbow beams, butterfly dreams, and visions of fluffy bunnies. He wakes each day without enough fingers to count his blessings, gazes outside to find nubile young vixens pressing their naked tits against his bedroom window, and wears only the finest Bruce Dickinson label designer gold-plated diapers.

The man is lucky.

Projected by all, including Moonbat GM sordie, as little more than a mediocre career minor leaguer, Gomez now finds himself the starting rightfielder for a World Series champion, the defending AL Rookie of the Year, the holder of a .324 lifetime ML batting average, and in possession of a nifty new World Series champ ring earned through some late fall heroics against a seemingly unstoppable Kickapoo juggernaut. This from an unsung 2nd round draft pick who toiled in minor league obscurity until able to bolt as a six-year free agent where he was promptly ignored -- skills declining -- until the Moonbats signed him on the cheap as a live body to rest the starters after Season 9 roster expansion.

But he made the most of that opportunity, batting .375 in limited action with an impressive .432 OBP.

This was sufficient to earn him a position on the season-ending 40 man list where the Moonbats, though expecting nothing special, figured he could hold down an ML roster spot at the start of Season 10 until it was time call up some young phenoms from AAA.

But Gomez had greater plans. Gomez's hot performance earned young slugging Lorenzo Torres a demotion instead, and, when all was said and done, the 'Bats found it virtually impossible to keep Al out of the lineup. Consistent and reliable, Gomez ended the season with 19 dingers, 76 RBIs, and a rate line of .319/.363/.543 to accompany his 14 stolen bases and error-free performance in RF (though he did screw the pooch live on national television when playing out of position at 3B).

This walking, talking, Hispanic anomaly begs the question: Is this the ultimate statistical outlier of a sustained streak of beating the odds, or are big league scouts a pack of drooling, raving idiots who couldn't assess talent if it crawled up their pantlegs and bit them in the ass?

Perhaps next season will answer that question. Moonbat sources confirm that they believe this 30 year old rookie significantly overperformed, and will again enter Season 11 as an unappreciated underdog clawing not merely for his starting position, but for a spot on the big league club.

Gomez doesn't care though. He just shows up to play, and he plays to win; critics be damned.

HELENA BARKING MOONBATS ARE CHAMPS

Well kiddies Sordie and his high flying Moonbats have won thier second Wrigleyville World Series. They beat the perenial powerhouse San Francisco Kickapoos in 6 games.  I think the turning point in the series was game 5 in Helena. The series was tied at two games apiece when Rookie of the Year Placido Telemaco gave up 19 hits and 15 Earned runs in 4-1/3 innings. Al Gomez was the star when he went 4 for 5 with 3 RBI's and a run scored. The Kickapoos lost that game by the score of 15-6 . Then it was back to San Francisco for game 6 and this was a nailbiter with Helena outlasting San Fran 8-4 in a 12inning Donnybrook.
The Moonbats returned to Helena yesterday afternoon .And they were treated to a Parade down Last Chance Gulch Street to the delight of the throngs of Moonbat Fans. The Parade ended on the fabled Tower Hill were a bonfire was erected. And the moonbats and thier fans roasted Buffalo Meat and Sheep Balls.They ate till thier bellies were round and taunt. The whiskey and the beer was a plenty and they drank to the wee hours of the Morn.                            

When the Moon finally set and the light of day was about . It was a sight to see all the smoking hulks of burned out Cars and the heaps of naked Bodies laying about . That Sordie sure knows how to Win In the playoffs and throw a party too!!
