THE WEEK IN WRIGLEYVILLE S-20 #2

TRADES

The CINCINNATI RED LIGHT DISTRICTS traded Doc Hampton to the MINNESOTA MISFITS for Horacio Mesa
Cincy gets a veteran bullpen guy. Minnesota gets a youngster with potential.

The COLORADO SPRINGS BANDITS traded Buddy Koloff to the CHARLOTTE SOMETIMES for Russ Orr and Edgar DeRojas
The Sometimes get a prospect that could hit .300 +. The Bandits get 2 promising pitching prospects.

The TAMPA BAY STARS traded Hector Mercado to the MEMPHIS BLUES for Malcolm Caufield
The Stars pickup a 3B that was riding the pine in Memphis. The Blues get a nice rotation prospect.

The CINCINNATI RED LIGHT DISTRICTS traded Mariano Rivera and Willie Alonso to the WASHINTON D.C. WINGDINGS for Danys Mota and 1,500,000
Cincy gets a former MVP  and some cash. The Wingdings pickup a nice Bullpen guy and a good bat to replace Mota..

M L INJURIES

Clarence Andrews
Clarence "Sale" Andrews will miss 2 months with a sore rotator cuff. Not a good start for this Tabaky Farmers rookie. Roger,Rodger,Whats our Clearence Clarence??

Hector Ruth
Austins all-star LF'er Hector "Truth" Ruth only missed 2 weeks with a strained Hammy. He's a solid
M L player and thats no lie.

Bryan Greisinger
Bryan "I'm Dying" Greisinger Never really recovered after his accident at Mamasitas House of Pinoche ( see: The Week In Wrigleyville S-19 #1)  Once you go flat you never come back.

Brandon Foxx
Great things are expected of Brandon "Iron" Foxx in Witchita. The former #2 pick in seasons 17 draft, is on his way to being a DL Darling ( The Draft Review S-17 Picks 1-16) . He's out 3 weeks with a strained shoulder.

Rick Reagan
Rick "He's" Sick is the prom queen of the DL Darlings, with 12 injuries in 11 seasons. I will be shocked if someone signs him next year. He will try to earn his 6 million dollar salary in two weeks when he returns.

Bernie Richard
Bernie "Down the House" Richard will have Elbow Surgery. He was getting smoked this year with a ERA of 5.09 , so maybe it's a blessing for the Salmonbellies. He could return next season, if Salem signs him in Arb.

Corky Walter
Corky "Under" Walter could be another DL Darling. This youngster will miss only 2 weeks for his first visit on the DL. He's in deep water now.....Swim Corky Swim!!!

Odalis Mota
Odalis " De" Mota is a minor league DL Darling. He will miss 2 weeks with back spasms after being picked up in the R-5. DeMota puts the D in Disabled.

Rudy West
I was going to give Rudy a nickname, But I was saddened by a good young prospect getting the shaft.  It looks like he'll miss the rest of the season with Elbow Surgery. He could make it back for the post season, if Washington makes the post season. I hope he bounces back.
