THE WEEK IN WRIGLEYVILLE S-21 #1

Due to my players demanding outragous salaries, and my propensity to give into thier outragous demands.  Which has led to the unfortunate circumstances of my own mismanaged budget, and  WIS refusal to raise my Debt Ceiling. So unlike our elected leaders I am forced to stay under a budget. Therefore my Advanced Scouting is at it's lowest since writing this Blog. This will make it hard to see the projections of all the players under 27 .  I will do my best not to overly brag about them or lament about them.-Mad

TRADES

The AUSTIN CITY LIMITS traded Luis Quintanilla 1,900,000 to the MADISON MUSLELLUNGES for Koyie Schoeneweis
Madison gets a Gold Glove Shortstop with about half his salary paid. He should help Madison's defense and pitching staff. Austin gets a younger shortstop and dumps some salary.

The DURHAM BULLSHIPPERS traded Sal James 2,000,000 to the HELENA BARKING MOONBATS for Quinn Kennedy
Durham buys a young prospect for a minor leaguer and 2,000,000. Win, win, for both teams.

M L INJURIES

Eduardo Delgado
Just a little shoulder strain for this very nice relief pitcher. Eduardo "O" Delgado should be back O so soon.

Tony Pena
Tony "Hello" Pena was a hot free agent 3 years ago. This year he stayed on the shelf till San Francisco signed him to a 1 year 4.8 mil contract. He lasted long enough to wave hello to the Kickapoo fans, then left with a shoulder injury. Hello Pena will get a cold reception when he returns in 60 days.

Ernie Jenkins
Ernie "The Urn" Jenkins has been a fixture in center field for the Misfits. The ashes of many a flyball have met thier end to the Urns glove. The Urn has lost a step in the last few years and Minnesota lost him for a few weeks with a strained shoulder.

Olemiss spent 18.9 million and a S/T invite for this years 1st big IFA. Max power and speed on the base paths = MVP maybe?
