LAST YEARS RECORD:99-63

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: The Muskies did win the division but it wasn't easy. With the resurgence of Milwaukee,Chicago and Trenton this division isn't a cake walk anymore. Daddios team won 91 games last year and went into the playoffs as a #3 seed, but were suprised in the first round by the always dangerous Santurce Crabbers. Last year Madison had good pitching (4.10 team ERA-11th), hitting (.272 team BA-9th) and defensive team (80 errors-8th). Dats good!! The Muskies are still the one to beat in the N L North, but like I said earlier ,It won't be easy. This is no longer a weak division and they may have to settle for a wildcard berth.PREDICTION:92-70

OUT: Jeff Dupler , Justin Peterman , Joaquin Pena , Jesus James

IN: Fausto Fernandez

PREVIEW: Like I said in last years preview, The Muskies were the one to beat. they easily won the N L North and went into the playoffs as the #3 seed. They ran into the up and coming Utes and lost 3 games to 1.Last year the Muskies had the 6th best defense (82 errors,.987 FPct) and a very good pitching staff ( 4.09 ERA-8th). The hitting was above average with a  batting average of .271, that was ranked 14th overall. In the offseason Daddio re-signed Sammy Sanchez and let Dupler and Peterman go to free agency. Then traded away Pena and James to Washinton DC. With a couple spots to fill, Daddio signed free agent Fernandez. Looks like Daddio is happy with his bunch of Muskellunges and just did a minor tweak on his team. He still has one spot open and may promote either Willie Aquino or Andres Trevino ......or not. Anyways , this team should make it back to the playoffs but it will be harder to win the division with the 3 other teams improving. PREDICTION:95-67

LAST YEARS RECORD:83-79

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: What do you know Sandberg took pity on my poor mudd covered face. The Toyotas finished near my prediction. Which has never been said before. Tenton won 80 games with a improved pitching staff (3.96 team ERA-7th). The hitting (.259 team BA-22nd) and defense (.983 FPct-16th) was about the same.Sandberg has brought back West to finish his career as a Toyota and also promoted several nice prospects. Then he finished with several trades that sent and brought in talent. At the risk of a face full of Mudd I will predict a better year for Trenton.PREDICTION: 89-73

OUT: Nick McConnell , Miguel Duran , Leo Charles , Javier Veras , Fausto Castro , Thom Gates , Miguel Maradona , Apollo West

IN: Wily Mo Miller , Adam Broxton , Torey Acosta , Harry Megias , Tony Tejada , Napoleon Wall

PREVIEW: The Toyotas finshed above .500 last year but missed the playoffs. They had the 5th ranked defense (80 errors,.987 FPct),and very good pitching (4.07 ERA-7th). The offense lagged behind with a .260 batting average ,good for 24th in Wrigleyville. In the off-season Sandberg re-signed Jeff Terry , Jimmie Guerrero , Alberto Ramirez and Peter Yamamoto and let McConnell , Duran, Charles, Veras and Castro go to free agency. Then he traded away Gates, Maradona and West. Sandberg signed free agent Mo Miller and promoted Broxton. He aquired Acosta, Megias, Tejeda and Wall, thru trades.Sandberg had a offensive problem and Acosta should help drive in more runs. This team could suprise us. PREDICTION:85-77

LAST YEARS RECORD:73-98

LAST YEARS PREVIEW: The Bleacher Bums finished just about as predicted with 80 wins. I was hoping they would do better, but Hshack is still putting this team together and they are an improvment on the past. They almost made the magic .500 with below average pitching (4.66 team ERA-23rd) and average defense (104 errors-19th). Imagine how much better they would have finished with some more hitting (.255 team BA-26th). I've asked myself that with my own team.I look at this M L roster and there are many good players on it. And they have as good of chance as any team in the NL North. PREDICTION: 84-78

OUT: Pat Clark , Edgar Flores , Vicente Iglesias , Dean Hayes , Brent Tollberg , Enrique Toregas , Andres Ferrer

IN: Josh Parker , Robin Cirillo , Kevin Sheffield , Jimmie James , Orber Dotel , Tony Guillon , Jamie Bradley , Britt Lukasiewicz , Albie Estrada , Deivi Gabriel

PREVIEW: I was a little optimistic in last years preview and with good reason. This team has plenty of talent ,they just haven't figured it out yet.The Bleacher Bums had a tough time at the plate (.257 Team BA-26th) and the pitching was below average (4.91 team ERA-24th). The defense was in the middle of the pack (102 errors,.983 FPct) .How they won 73 games is beyond me? In the off-season Hshack let Clark, Flores and Iglesias go to free agency. Then he released Hayes, Tollberg and Toregas and traded away Ferrer. Hshack then signed free agents Parker, Cirillo, Shaefield, James, Dotel and Guillon. He promoted Bradley and Lukasiewicz and picked up Estrada in the R-5 and traded for Gabriel. The Bleacher Bums are making a move with free agents and the promotion of future superstar Bradley. Gabriels bat will help also but his glove is a liability in CF. This team will be above .500.PREDICTION:85-77
