DUROCHER AWARD FINALIST

Below are the 4 Finalists for this years Durocher award for the best owner in Wrigleyville. Everyone has there own criteria for choosing the best owner. But regardless who wins this years award , all the finalists are worthy canidates.Vote on the left in the sidebar. And Good luck Nominees.

JEFF2106 -- Jeff was nominated by several owners due to his winning ways and trading prowess. Here is what one owner had to say about Jeff.  "He's built a great team and I'm glad he's in the NL"

MARK3313--Mark has always been our Commish and always wins our division. Either way he deserves consideration. This is what one owner had to say why he nominated Mark."I nominate Mark (San Francisco) this season. He keeps churning out dominant teams."

COACH34--Coach came out on top of the tough A L West and that is reason enough for his being a Finalist. One owner had this comment when he nominated Coach. "I'll throw in coach34's name for the Durocher. Simply competing in the AL West is an accomplishment, but actually winning this eye-gouging, crotch-kicking, Lord of the Flies free-for-all cage match of a division merits special recognition."

AARONWAYNE--Aaron Dogs not only Bark...They Bite. He has them back in the playoffs after last seasons hiccup. This owner had this to say about Aaron. "I nominate Aaronwayne. His Fargo team puts the D in Dog. Great defense."

Ivan Gimenez
Ivan "Hoe" Giminez will miss the rest of the season with elbow tendinitis. No more jousting Ivan Hoe.

York Champion
I was concerned when Wylie Traded for York "The Pork" Champion. Now he will go under the Knife and miss the rest of the season. He's young and could bounce back from this minor setback.

Justin Brantley
Devastating is the only way to describe this injury.Justin was on his way to a great career with the Moose then he tore a ACL.He will be out a year, and again...He's young so he may bounce back.

Albert Sandoval
Another youngster bites the dust ,luckily this injury is comparativley minor. Albert "in a can" Sandoval only has a strained elbow. He may make it back before the season ends.

Enrique Pimentel
Enrique "Mental" Pimentel needs 140 mental health days. Let the Madness begin.

20th Anniversary Team

After 20 seasons of gameplay in Wrigleville its time to reconize the best of the best to ever play. We will do this in 3 parts . First we will select the best Infielders .Second will be the best Outfielders and DH /Utilility players. Lastly we will select the pitchers.
You will first all recieve an Official ballot for your nominations at each infield position. Each owner can nominate two players at each position. For a player to be eligable for nomination at a position. He must have played a majority at the position he is nominated. This will be calculated by Career Innings played at the said position.
Then after the accounting firm of Dewey,Cheatum and Howe tabulates all the nominees.  I will post the top vote getters on the Blog and then we can vote for the best. The winners will be on the 20th Anniversary Wrigleyville 1st team and the second place will be on the 2nd team. Then we will move on to the outfield and pitchers will be last.
I will send your ballots in the next few hours via sitemail. You have until midnight on the 8th of November to send your nominations back to me via site-mail . Now get to scouring the archives for the best in Wrigleyville. Thanks-Mad.

THE WEEK IN WRIGLEYVILLE S-20 #5

A Note from Madmuldoon. All my comments are solely my opinion .And my perception is mostly due to my scouting and how many shots of bourbon I've consumed. It reminds me of the picture of 2 snails on the back of a turtle. One snail looks at the other and says "Hang on tight Harold here we Go!!"

TRADES
The CINCINNATI RED LIGHT DISTRICTS traded Eugenio Espinoza and William Mateo to the AUSTIN CITY LIMITS for Ryan Olshan and 2,000,000
Wylie is raising the white flag but he says this isn't a fire sale.He traded for a pitching prospect with great stamina and a fill in M L catcher. Jeff loves to trade so he picked up a great hitting Catcher who is below average defensivly.

The AUSTIN CITY LIMITS traded Jeffrey Moreno to the HELENA BARKING MOONBATS for David Villalona and York Champion
Sordie picked up a starting pitcher with a new contract. Wylie recieved 2 nice pitching prospects with low health projections.

M L INJURIES
Patsy Hartman
Patsy "Cake" Hartman is a Dog that comes from the Prairies of Colstrip MT. He is one of the best Prairie Dogs to ever play the game and will be missed for 2 weeks. His broken finger is almost healed.

Jacob Clayton
Jacob " Ladder" Clayton is definitly a Misfit. The Rookie was having a bad year with a ERA of  6.32 and now will miss 2 months with Elbow Tendinitis. He must have fallen off the ladder.

Jumbo MacFarlane
This was the BIG One for Jumbo "Big Mac" MacFarlane. I still remember almost trading for the Big Mac. Whew, again!! This time he will miss a year with the dreaded shoulder aneurism. Now we know why Sordie traded for Moreno above. My condolences Sordie.

Reed James
Let me just say it's my fault. I jinxed the Coat Factories when I picked them to win the Series.Reed "em and Weep" James will take his new 5 year 92 million contract to the DL for the rest of the season. Sorry Ehull.

Don Nunnally
Don "The Flying" Nunnally is a frequent flier on the DL.He tore his ankle ligament and will be out 2 months. Sorry again Ehull!!

Aaron Boyer
Aaron "nobodys" Boyer spent many years in the Tabaky Farmers farm system. This year he finally got his shot...... and well........Now he's on the DL for 2 weeks. Nobody can say he didn't get a chance.
