The NEW BRITAIN BRUINS traded Hensley Lyon , Johnny Mitre , Louis White and 1,500,000 to the AUSTIN CITY LIMITS for Mack Diaz

That usually means a trade is coming and Diaz is the first casualty of a disappointing year. He was shipped off to the Bruins who are going into the post season . The kid has a long career ahead and should fit nicely into Dodgers plans. Austin got a older 3rd-baseman with a couple of  good pitching prospects.From my past experiences with frustration ........Perhaps Wylie needs to start drinking ? Makes a losing season seem better!

The JACKSONVILLE JUGGERNAUTS traded Danny Wilson , Anibal Rosado , Gary Stern to the PITTSBURGH PIRATES for Harry Lucano
Jacksonville is another team that for some reason or another , didn't have success this year. They shipped 3 of their M L players to Pittsburgh for a young pitcher. Pittsburgh is still in a fight for his division title. Ard is doing everything he can to get to the post-season. Short of Rape, Pillaging and Plundering...AAARRGGHHH. 


The SANTA FE BLUES traded Kip Tulowitzki to the ARIZONA COBRAS for David Bocachica

M L INJURIES
Miguel Baez
Sometimes your the windshield ...........sometimes your the Bug!  Miguel "Groan" Baez is the Bug. He herniated a disk in his neck and will be out 7 months. Hatton signed Groan Baez to a 5 year/38.5 million contract in this off-season. Sometimes your the 18 wheeler........Sometimes your the varmit in the road. Splat!!


Vince Williams
Vince "Meat Pie" Williams is already back on the field after spending 2 weeks on the DL with a stiff hammy. Vince will want a bigger slice of the pie in next years arbitration negotiations . 


Haywood Webber
Yep..he's a Wilbur. Haywood "Charlotte's" Webber is on the DL for the second time this year. This time it's a sore Quad and he should be back on the field in a day or two. 


Midre Duran
This ones gonna leave a mark!! Midre "Duran" Duran will miss a year with a torn ACL. Rugby can be heard singing "Out of my mind" over and over again! 


Kris Karros
After TC signed Kris "Special K" Karros to a big contract 2 years ago. He missed most of season 23 with elbow surgery. Since then he has been healthy until now. This time it's minor and should only miss a couple of weeks with inflammation in his surgically repaired elbow. TC will have to milk him one more year before the elbow goes all soggy!


Jalal Milton
Jalal "Must be Crazy" Milton is out 7 months with elbow surgery. Nuts!!! he was a good R-5 pickup for the Crabbers.
