Here is the next insallment. This is where it starts to get interesting.
Vic Sellers was the 11th pick. The Hartford Crushers selected this young slugger and brought him along nicely. He spent 3 1/2 years in Hartford's minor league system where he won a GG(AA)and made two All-Star appearances (HiA-AA).Since his promotion to the Bigs, Vic hasn't won any awards but has put up some nice numbers. He has blasted 167 homers with 487 RBI's.ARomano did try Sellers at CF two seasons ago ,but Sellers commited 16 errors and 10 minus plays. So back to the infield he went.Vic is a good 2B so i would be suprised if ARomano plays him at CF again.
Keith Ferguson Was taken at #12 by the Witchita Skyline(Charlotte Chimps).Keith is the first bust of the draft and is currently looking for a club that will give him another chance. His Agent Ira Tate says Ferguson has been working out and is ready to show his stuff. He spent a little over 3 years in the Skyline farm system. Then was traded to the Moose. There he finally got his shot in season 5,But rugby finally gave up on this kid after 4 seasons of mediocre baseball. So if any owners like a gamble, Keith could be your guy.But be careful he might be another Milton Bradley!!
Carter Dunham was picked 13th by the Buffalo Fightin Bison(Fargo Prairie Dogs).Being picked 13th was definately unlucky for Dunham who has been demoted to AAA.He has two stints on the 60 day DL and this has killed his development. He now plays for the Moose AAA team and has aspirations of something better. But I don't see it!!
Braden Duffy was a steal at 14th.He was drafted by the Washington D C WarMongers(San Juan Crabbers) and has deveoped nicely. He has indured 5 owner changes, and was traded to the then Austin Annihilators in season 4.But he hasn't let all the turmoil slow him down.Last season with the Jackson Justice he was a great setup man. With 90 appearances, 167 innings pitched with a record of 7-4,8 saves,1.14 WHIP,2.86 ERA.Solid!!! How about a trade Jackson.LOL
Hughie Leon was taken at #15 by the Pittsburg Monongahelas(Madison Dairy Heirs).Hughie spent his 4 years at the minor leagues as trade bait.He was moved from Pitt-Via-Milwaukee-via-Burlington-via-Witchita(Charlotte).Mr Leon hasn't wowed anyone but he is a everyday ML player.Maybe? Maybe he will have a breakout year.
Will Brydak was chosen at #16 by the Milwaukee Sturgeons and has turned into a Sold Pitcher. Will spent a little over 3 years in the minors, where he had a solid start on his career. He did have a stint on the 60 day DL but bounced back nicely. How does a guy with 90+ health get a 60 Day injury? Since his promotion to the ML squad,he started off slow. But he recently has put up two decent seasons. He only had one draw back. His his low stamina rating, so he'll never have many Complete Games. But hey still a nice pick at 16
Hub Taguchi was selected 17th by the Sacramento River Cats(Helena Moonbats).Hub is the first Closer to be selected and he's a good one.Sordie brought him up quickly thru the minors, making his ML debut early in his 3rd year.Since his call up he has played in one All-Star team. And has put up some Impressive numbers.161 saves in 177 opportunitys,1.22 WHIP and 3.69 ERA.Not bad for 17!!!
Aaron Ross was picked up at 18th by the Boston Machine(Indianapolis Indians).Ross is the first Colledge player taken in the draft and he spent only two years in the minors.Since his arrival in the Bigs he has won a GG (7th) and has played well. The Indians Released him last year, but Ross signed a 4 year 24 million dollar contract with the Trenton Tripods. This kid is a good defensive LF who can hit for average. He may have a long career in Trenton.
Xavier Arnold was selected at #19 by the Charleston Tobacco Farmers.nwsheehy007 brought this kid along slowly.Arnold spent 5 years in the minors before being called up in season 6.He played in 1 All-Star game(AA) and pitched well at long relief.Since his call-up, Arnold has pitched decent.Filling in occasionaly as a starter, he has not gotten a lot of run support.Perhaps when the charleston bats start singing Arnold will be an All-Star again?
Vinny Goldman was the 20th pick by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays(Memphis Blues). This setup pitcher is a great pick at 20.this Jc player put up outstanding numbers, in his 3+ years in the minors. He won a Fireman of the year award(HiA)and played in 1 All-Star(HiA) game.Tchagnon has him playing as a setup man and gave Goldman A Chestful of gold last season(5Y-35Mil).I think if Vinny stays healthy He will be a Great pitcher in this league.A great pick at 20 indeed!!!
Vince Tipton was the 21st pick by the Las Vegas Westward Hos(Las Vegas Dealers). This JC infielder was traded early in his career to the WarMongers. But since then has been with the same club and endured two owner changes. He started off his career strong, playing in 2 All-Star games. Tipton played well in his ML years except in season 6,Were he sucked. The next year rbedwell Demoted him to AAA where he won a SS Award. So Ralph moved him back into the Bigs last year. And he had a solid season with 39 Homers. This player has the projections to be a good player .The question is, Will He?
