Ken Andrews

Ken Andrews was the 23rd pick in the Draft.San Fransisco Kickapoos started their march to dominance with this tasty pick.Andrews spent 4 full years in the minors were he honed his trade as a Mid Relief guy.He didn't win any awards in the minors. But since his call up to the Bigs he has played in two ML All-Star games(5th-7th).This pitcher is a perfect example of the un-sung heros of Baseball. The mid-Relief guys are the work horse of the pitching staff.and if you don't have a good one you can kiss your season goodbye. These pitchers usually come in with a lead or are closely behind. And they are asked to keep the opposing bats at bay. The good ones always hold the lead or keep the game close so you have a chance to come back.Well Ken is a good one, and he will be for many Moons .Nice Pick-Up mark.

Doug Tewksbury
Helena
Barking Moonbats
Age: 26B/T: L/L
Born: Carson, CA
Position(s): 1B/DH

Doug Tewksbury was picked 23rd by the Sacramento River Cats(Helena Moonbats).Sordie has shown great paitence bringing this kid along and he is rewarded with a pretty good player. He won a SS at AA ball and since his call up he has a GG (6th) and a All-Star appearence (8th).While Tewksbury does have his injury problems they have not interfered with his production.Nice pick-up!!!

Jim Lennon
Cincinnati
Howlers
Age: 28B/T: R/R
Born: San Francisco, CA
Position(s): RF/3B/MIF/CF/DH

Jim Lennon was picked 24th by the Fargo Fighting Illini(Portland Pandemonium).Lennon started of his career with a bang. By winning MVP,SS and playing in the All-Star game in his Sophmore season. He endured two ownership changes before being called up in season 4 .In his Sophmore ML year, he just finished playing in the All-Star game. Then he went down with a Ankle Bone Bruise.Man that must have been some bruise. Because he was out the second half of the season and hasn't been the same player since. He was traded to Cincinnati last season and hopfully he will bounce back.Damn!!!

Peter Stockton
San Juan
Santurce Crabbers
Age: 28B/T: R/R
Born: Wayne, NJ
Position(s): P (LRB)
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Peter Stockton was the 25th pick by the Buffalo Fightin Bison(Fargo Prairie Dogs).Stockton has been a great Minor league pitcher racking up a record of 48-24.But in his two callups to the bigs he has been average 23-27.His appearence in the rookie All-star game had the tongues a waggin. But Peter was left off the 40 man, and was picked up by San Juan in the R5 draft. With Ralph in rebuild mode stockton has served his purpose as a stop gapper.Nice pick-up Ralph....Damn for Buffalo

Cozy Ludwick
none
none
Age: 30B/T: S/R
Born: Hollandale, MS
Position(s): P (SP4)
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Cozy Ludwick was picked 26th by the Montreal Black Bears(N Y Highlanders).Ludwick is now retired and out of baseball. He moved back to Ole Miss and opened up the Cozy Corner RV Park. When this College graduate was drafted by reigny he was highly touted as the savior of the Balck Bears. But after languishing for 7 years in the minors ,and playing in only 3 ML games. He took his MBA and moved home.Damn Reigny!!LOL

Tom Henley
Jackson
Justice
Age: 26B/T: L/L
Born: Pleasant Hill, MO
Position(s): P (P)
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Tom Henley was the 27th pick by the Sacramento River Cats(Helena Moonbats).Henley has been stellar in his Minor League career. He racked up 2 FOY awards(4th,6th)and played in 3 All-Star Games (3rd,4th,7th).His minor League record of 138 saves out of 166 is pretty good. And since his call up late last season he hasn't stood out. But its early and i think we may see him on the awards page.Nice pick-up!!!!

Dude Cosby
Indianapolis
Indians
Age: 30B/T: R/R
Born: Caddo, OK
Position(s): 3B/1B/COF/DH
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Dude Cosby was the 28th pick by the First N Y Highlanders(Cincinnati Howlers).I don't know if thejnice and ksoja82 are the same guy but thats not important here.Cosby was the third College player drafted. And spent 3 years in the minors were he picked up 2 SS awards (HiA,AA) and played in the Rookie all-Star game.he was a R5 pickup by the Blues in Season 5 and was traded twice thus far(Witchita ,Indiana). After a sub par year in Indiana the Dudster looks to break out some whoop ass.Hmm....We shall see.so far Damn!!!

B.C. McMillan
Jackson
Justice
Age: 26B/T: L/L
Born: Chattanooga, TN
Position(s): P (LRA)
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

B.C. McMillian was selected 29th by the Aneheim Annihalators(Jackson Justice).McMillian is one of those Mid-Relief guys i was talking earlier about. In 3 years in the minors he was average, but since his call up he has put up impressive numbers. In 211 games he has recorded 33-18 with 18 saves .And a 1.30 WHIP with a ERA of 3.65. Workhorse I think not!!.I say this one is a Thoroughbred.Nice Pick-up!!!!

Ray Marshall
none
none
Age: 25B/T: S/R
Born: Friendswood, TX
Position(s): P (SP1)
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Ray Marshall was the the 30th pick by the Montreal Black Bears(N Y Highlanders #2).What the @#$% happened here. This guy won the Low A Cy-Young then retired.DAAAAAMMMMMNNNN SMOKEY!!!!!

Kyle Porter
Trenton
Tripods
Age: 26B/T: R/R
Born: Gaithersburg, MD
Position(s): LF/1B/DH
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Kyle Porter was selected 31st by the Scranton Schrutes(Trenton Tripods). Before Boehnerm moved his team to Trenton he grabbed this youngster out of high school. He kept Porter in the minors for 6 years and called him up two years ago.Porter won 3 GG's (HiA,HiA,AA)and developed nicely.Since his call up he has come off the bench when needed as a pinch hitter or Defensive replacemant. If given the chance to start who knows how many GG's he'll win.Nice pick-up!!!

Rex Harrelson
Vancouver
Totems
Age: 26B/T: L/L
Born: Varna, IL
Position(s): CF/1B/OF/DH
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

Rex Harrelson was the 32nd and final pick of the first round, not counting supplamental picks. He was snatched by the Santa Cruz Knights(Vancouver Totems)and spent 6 years in the Minors. When i took this team over in season 5 i had my eye on this guy as my everyday CF'er.And he has played O K at that Position. But has become very unreliable with tiki tack injuries.I plan on platooning him this season ,so we'll see.Sometimes Damn!!!!

Special Notes!!

Season 1's draft was pretty good with 26 out of 32 now playing in the Bigs.Only three players are no longer playing. One was never signed and the other two were drafted by Reigny.Whats up? Reigny is my friend but he seems to be a first round prospect's Kryptonite.LOL.The 14th pick got the largest bonus ,9 Million where my pick the 32nd signed for a measly 1.1 Mil.I hope you enjoyed this look back at our draft picks and I have plans to look at the IFA's also!!
